With more than 20 years' experience in product management and marketing strategy, planning and execution in technology and other industries, Mara is a recipient of AIPMM's "Excellence in Product Management Education” award for her work with Pivotal Product Management, the training and consulting firm she cofounded. In 2009 TechFlash, the popular online feature of the Puget Sound Business Journal, included Mara in its inaugural list of the "Top 100 Women in Seattle Tech".
In her role as facilitator for the Seattle-based Product Management Consortium, Mara provides opportunities for product managers to build their skills and professional networks. As principal of Pivotal Product Management she co-developed the Product Management Intensive™ and many other product management courses, and the firm provides consulting services to companies in many industries. Mara also serves as an Advisory Board member for the University of Washington Certificate Program in Software Product Management, and has developed and delivered courses on Product Management and Database Marketing for the University of Washington's Extension program. Mara is an AIPMM-Certified Product Manager and a certified Innovation Games® Facilitator. She holds a Masters Degree from Northwestern University, a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Certificate in Software Product Management from the University of Washington.

Dan has spent the past 18 years in a variety of senior product management, product marketing and business development roles in B2B enterprise software and hardware businesses. He has extensive experience working internationally with product development and marketing teams based in India, Japan, Taiwan, Canada and Europe. In 2000, while at Talisma Corp., Dan defined and launched one of the industry's first CRM SaaS market offerings and, in 2003, led the development and launch of the first CRM product offering designed for the Higher Education market, enabling Talisma to become the industry leader.
Recent engagements include development of a member acquisition, retention, and sales pipeline management strategy for the Eclipse Foundation (the leading open source software development platform) and the creation of market analysis, ecosystem design and product management strategy for Open Health Tools (the leading open source standards-based software development platform for data interoperability in healthcare). Dan is a graduate of the University of Washington's Professional Certification in Software Product Management. He holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing Management from Babson College, where he also co-founded a 30-person student-run business. Additionally, Dan is earning an M.S. in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health & Science University.

With over 20 years' experience across several industries, Dave developed deep product management and marketing strategy expertise as the Business Intelligence Lead for Microsoft's Windows Client Division and as a Customer Experience Manager for AT&T's Small Business Mobility Operations Division. Today, Dave's consulting practice largely focuses on teaching small businesses to think and act like big businesses. In addition to his work with the Product Management Consortium, Dave actively supports the local business community through participation, mentoring, and leadership in organizations like the Seattle Social Media Club and the Eastside Entrepreneurs Social Network. Dave earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology at Western Washington University, specializing in Demography and Measurement.
Gwen Gyldenege

Gwen has 9 years technical and product management experience with both Ford Motor Company and PACCAR. Her experience ranges from vehicle design and test through post-launch over multiple vehicle platforms, products, and services. Five years ago, she transitioned from manufacturing to vehicle test to product management. She is passionate about learning and applying wildly unique solutions to customer problems.
Gwen earned her BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2000 and a certificate in Software Product Management in 2009 from the University of Washington. She returned to the Software Product Management program as a coach for the 2009-2010 school year. Gwen is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, is EIT certified since 2001 and is one of the founding organizers for Product Camp Seattle.

With more than 10 years of technology industry experience, Irina provides Product Management consulting services to start-up and mid-size organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to launching her own consulting practice, she served as a Senior Program Manager at Captaris Corp. (now OpenText), where she implemented requirements management processes, headed a strategic Marketing, Sales, and Partner support program and managed numerous corporate process improvement initiatives. Earlier in her career she worked as a software engineer.

Seth Nesbitt is Vice President, Product and Solutions Marketing at Amdocs, where he leads a global team of marketing professionals focused on bringing comprehensive packaged solutions to market based on Amdocs' products, services and business knowledge. Prior to Amdocs, he worked for Nortel Networks and a variety of technology vendors focusing on hosted and outsourced CRM solutions. In May 2004 he founded the UK Product Marketing Forum in order to encourage the sharing of Product Marketing best practices within the UK. He serves on the Advisory Board of the CMO Council, the leading industry association for technology marketing leaders.
Seth earned his MBA in 2005 from Oxford University's Said Business School where he wrote his thesis on Product Marketing strategy in technology companies. Seth is based out of Amdocs' Seattle, Washington offices.
Trevor Rotzien

Trevor has worked in various capacities for software product and service companies (e.g. IBM, Idea Integration, LexisNexis, Free & Clear and others) over 20 years - and in several countries - initially in technical and later in business roles. He's happy to have landed in the proverbial "middle way" that is Product Management. He has contributed to a wide-range of products delivered in a variety of platforms, from a multi-terabyte data management system to a desktop photo editor to a SaaS-based court case application.
Trevor is currently most interested in two distinct but related topics: Effectively linking business vision to technical delivery, and the application of workplace anthropology to product management. He holds a M.Sc. in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Edinburgh and a B.Sc. in Biology from McGill University.

Val has more than 15 years' experience in Internet-based companies. She is responsible for Platrium's corporate marketing and product strategy. Previously Val was Vice President of Products and Marketing at Zango, where she rebuilt the product management function and directed the B2B and consumer product strategies. Prior to Zango she was the Vice President of Products for Singlestep Technologies and Vice President of Business Operations at Network Commerce, where she successfully led business and operations teams in e-commerce, online media and business-to-business services. She has developed products and solutions for mid-sized and large enterprise corporations and has a passion for finding opportunities in new and emerging markets.
Early in her career, Val worked at Foote Cone & Belding Direct in Los Angeles. She holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington and is a graduate of the Pivotal Product Management Software Product Management Intensive™.
