he landscape in which we work has shifted dramatically…and continues to do so. Uncertainty has become a norm, rather than a once in a while surprise. Trends and competitors are popping up so quickly that data is out of date by the time it is published. Change is the new standard. But change is hard. So how can we prepare ourselves and our teams to respond to this constant sea of change? This session will begin by exploring ways our work contexts have been changing and the impact that is having on workplaces and the individuals that staff them. Then we will discuss the strategies that are needed to not just cope with change, but fully embrace and manage it, such as: finding the opportunity in change, listening to and incorporating multiple voices and adopting an experiment and learn style.

Janet Williams Hepler, founder of Highline Coaching and Consulting, is a coach who is passionate about working with clients to identify their strengths and find meaningful livelihood. She brings knowledge and insight from her experience as a leader and learner. She also works with leaders to develop their strengths, influence others, scale to new roles, work through transitions, and increase their impact in the work they do. Janet has 25 years of experience in the high tech industry where she had diverse roles in program management, technical writing, and content publishing leadership. She serves as the President Elect for the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. Janet holds an M.A. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology and is a certified professional coach. She has a certification in the Personal Directions Inventory, the Conflict Dynamics Profile and has delivered workshops on embracing conflict and building resilience.
Tracey Lovejoy, the founder of Lovejoy Consulting, is a Leadership Consultant and Coach. Tracey has 12 years experience in the tech industry where she worked at the intersection of engineering, design and innovation. As a leader at Microsoft she was known for her ability to leverage her individual employees' strengths and build high performing, high morale teams with sustainable results. Tracey is a trained social scientist allowing her to observe and identify important patterns, as well as assess organizational culture. Her ethnographic training has taught her to see what others don't. She uses the tools of her training to help organizations challenge their assumptions and broaden their thinking to ensure the solutions they design are truly meeting the needs of their teams and customers. Tracey’s absolute ideal client are the catalysts among us, those that are out there changing the world for the better…and sometimes their teams.
