The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for GTM planning for StorNext. Customers with Big Data challenges tend to be found in specific verticals markets and have specialized storage requirement, and Quantum StorNext software is an established and recognized leader in a subset of these markets. We are looking for a talented product marketing manager who can help us penetrate adjacent verticals with our new StorNext Appliances. This person will be responsible for driving a set of vertical market plans, working X-functionally with the likes of Product Management and Sales to ensure that our GTM activities are prioritized and integrated. This is a challenging position that requires critical thinking and the ability to tie marketing strategy to solid execution.
Responsibilities also include new product positioning, launch plan leadership, creating and updating marketing materials, and delivering external competitive positioning. This person will need to collaborate with groups across Marketing, Sales, and Product Management. He or she will support the Americas market while providing insight and maintaining linkage with Quantum's global counterparts in EMEA and APAC. The ideal candidate will have experience in the storage market or Big Data software. The position will report to the Vice President level.
- BA/BS + 8 years relevant experience.
- Previous sales or product management experience a plus.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, both written and oral, ability to work cross-functionally, comfortable working with technical and sales audiences, ability to present compellingly, and work well within a marketing organization.
- Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel.
- MBA preferred.
