This position is responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of innovative strategies to support the launch and growth of a new business within the Direct Health Solutions Group. The Product Manager is responsible for all phases of product development and management from ideation and assessment, through strategy execution, and ongoing monitoring of implementation tactics and results. This position is accountable for the timely completion of product analyses, business case development, resource/budget acquisition, development of formal product marketing plans, senior level presentations, implementation of product changes/new products, and coordinating launch activities. Develops and leads cross functional teams to evaluate new product concepts specific to product line and the market.
BA/BS in Business Administration or relevant field with ten years experience in a product marketing or management position in consumer-facing Internet, ecommerce, or other specialized field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
Extensive experience with Internet B2C commerce, driving business/sales strategies for large ecommerce websites. Experience with agile project management of large, cross functional, website initiatives
Personal experience with advanced product filtering, sorting, and recommendation engine technologies to optimize the set of products shown to potential customers.
Prior online marketing and/or product management success.
Web analytics, forecasting, and experience developing business cases.
Experience with GUI/UX best practices and usability testing.
Strong understanding of web design/development concepts and processes, and industry best practices for ecommerce
Advanced experience in building business cases and business requirement documents.
Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to write executive level documents and make executive level presentations.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and/or complex projects and deadlines.
Demonstrated analytical ability, able to “think outside the box”, and able to move abstract concepts to concrete actions and effective strategies.
Strong team player, ability to work within and lead cross-functional teams.
Ability to negotiate and resolve complex and sensitive issues with diplomacy and persuasiveness.
Ability to operate independently to navigate organizational complexities and to obtain resources needed to move initiatives forward
Strong sense of market priorities and ability to appropriately push back against group think that will negatively impact company position in market place or marketability of the portfolio
