Jr. Product Manager, Storage Appliances for Quantum in Denver, CO

-  The Jr Product Manager will work closely with a Snr Product Manager and tag team to be responsible for product strategy, roadmap and product requirements for future innovations in Quantum's disk deduplication data protection products.

-  Working closely with cross-functional leads and peer product managers to find the sweet spot between what customer problems need to be solved and what next generation technology solutions we can provide to further Quantum’s leadership in the market is essential.

-  Responsibilities also include creating detailed feature requirements for future products, complete with use cases and based on a deep understanding of customer needs and problems.

-  Co-Managing the creation of new products, from beginning to end of the product lifecycle, as a key leader in cross-functional product teams.

-  Leveraging customer and partner engagements, market trends, and in-depth competitive analyses to drive strategy and then sharing key insights and conclusions with your product management, product marketing, and engineering colleagues; as well as monitoring and measuring the success of your products to provide insights and guidance to marketing, sales, and manufacturing to further business success and also influence future products.

-  The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, ability to learn quickly and be coached effectively. Past experience in working cross-functionally both internally and outside of the organization to drive product line success and market share leadership is key.

-  The candidate must also have proven experience in disk based storage product management or a related discipline.

-  Some software experience is desired.

-  The position will report to the Senior Director level. 

-  B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, or equivalent engineering or science degree.

-  1+ years product management experience in a storage enterprise.

-  4-7 years industry experience in a engineering or product management in high technology.

-  Motivated to excel and focused on results.

-  Demonstrated track record of success.

-  Strong analytical skills: able to get to the crux of a problem, develop potential solutions, critique them, and articulate the analysis clearly to colleagues.

-  Able to communicate clearly and effectively--both verbally and in writing--to cross-functional teams throughout the company.

-  Solid decision-making skills.

-  Must be a good presenter.

-  Must be able to collaborate and work effectively in a geographically-distributed team.

-  Able to adapt quickly in a changing environment and business landscape.

-  Experience with data protection software and storage appliances a plus.

-  Willing and able to travel to customer sites and other Quantum locations - up to 25%.
