I haven't used this, but I've seen Pivotal Tracker getting some good recommendations. We just use Excel and it's beginning to overwhelm us.

Great. Let me know what you think. We are struggling with the excel spreadsheet methodology. We have over a dozen products we manage via backlog and our product owners are dispersed throughout the organization. Having a single repository would be awesome. I'd love to get your opinion.

Okay I'm hooked. I've spent 10 minutes with playgroundapp.com and I can see I'm going to be here until 2:00 am working on my newest product. It's better than Plants vs. Zombies! I'll be in the office tomorrow and am going to see if I can actually use it to build out my product spec before kickoff on Wednesday. Thanks for the link.

I haven't tried this one yet, but what I've seen of Trello looks great. We use fogbugz but it is more than a backlog management tool.
