The Amazon Payments team is seeking a sharp, talented and energetic senior manager to lead a team of product managers to help us meet our ambitious objectives. As the Senior Manager, you'll provide product and customer experience leadership for a strong team in a fast-paced, start-up-style environment. You'll need to be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into reality, rapidly.
In this role you will lead the Amazon Payments Flexible Payments Service (FPS) business. You’ll be responsible for developing and growing the business, held accountable to financial results. You will shape the business and product requirements, owning the overall development of the business plans (year over year, 3 year plans, long term vision), driving product development for new initiatives, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, maintaining the product roadmap, driving marketing programs, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes throughout the company.
Within the next year, the focus of the business will be on developer adoption. The Sr Manager of the FPS business will develop a strategy plan to grow a developer and partner community to elevate the adoption of the FPS API service. In addition, you will need to building out the strategy to provide developers with a set of integration features that makes it trivial for developers to adopt FPS.
The position will require working closely with finance, owing a P&L while also working closely with sales managers, customer service providers, technical managers, designers, and software development engineer leads. You will need to focus your attention on becoming the expert on customer needs, working directly with customers, ensuring that FPS meets developer and merchant needs. You will also be responsible for managing business relationships and communication through a release cycle as it relates to the products and services developed.
Candidates must have excellent product instincts and communication skills coupled with a passion for business, technology and delivering a world-class customer experience. Candidates will have a demonstrated track record managing all aspects of a successful software or technology product throughout its lifecycle, including product strategy development, customer insights/needs, requirements definition and outbound product marketing. Candidates should have strong data-driven analytical skills and be able to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity and have a track record of building successful teams. Finally, candidates must have proven ability to manage and run a P&L.
Ideal candidates will have a background in both finance and technology; an MBA and at least 10 years demonstrated work experience, great analytical skills, strong business judgment, superb communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve conflicts and set priorities, and outstanding customer insight. |
