Product Managers spend their days driving data into business decisions. Sometimes successfully. Sometimes, not so successfully. Set yourself up for success! Get tips from a data visualization expert on choosing the most effective data visualization techniques for reports and dashboards. We will discuss what you should and shouldn’t do when displaying data in charts and tables.
When should you use a bar chart? What type of chart is best for showing trends over time? When should you use a table? We'll discuss all these questions and more.

Speaker Bio
Scott Willeke is a founding member of the team that built the ActiveReports line of reporting products for developers and is the Product Manager of ActiveReports Server, a 100% web-based, rich, self-service reporting solution. Scott has 10 years experience working with data as a developer and product manager. Scott first hosted this session at ProductCamp Seattle 2011 to incredible response.

The 'Stop Telling Bad Stories with Your Data!' session is tentatively still on tomorrow. Our policy is to follow the decision of Mercer Island Community Center. They are posting their closure status at http://www.facebook.com/MercerIslandParksandRecreation
We will notify all those registered members via email if the event is canceled.
However, if ticket holders decide against attending the event due to inclement weather conditions, this month’s tickets will be honored at any upcoming PMC event in 2012.
